Capstone Launches PebbleGo Create, Digital Tool Inspires Students to Demonstrate Their Learning

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – February 9, 2022 – Capstone, an innovative learning company merging children’s content with easy-to-use edtech tools for K-5 classrooms, libraries, and home, announces the launch of PebbleGo® Create, an active learning tool and digital workspace that expands the learning experience for K-5 students by empowering them to demonstrate their understanding of content in PebbleGo, the award-winning content hub for cross-curricular instruction and research. PebbleGo Create helps boost learning retention and engagement by bringing together student-centered active learning with curriculum-connected content.

With PebbleGo Create students can demonstrate what they learn in PebbleGo, expressing their creativity through a variety of media-rich features including tools for drawing, recording a video, and thousands of stickers, animations, and templates. For example, after reading about frogs, a student can create a diagram of a frog’s life cycle, create a chart to compare frogs and toads, or even write and illustrate a poem using their newly learned frog facts. Teachers can access students’ digital portfolio of creations, providing real-time insights on learning progress and whether students are mastering the standards being taught.

PebbleGo Create is the first of several innovations coming to classrooms and libraries after Capstone acquired Buncee last fall. Marrying Capstone’s rich content with the robust creator functionality in Buncee makes it easy for students to share what they know to connect learning and outcomes.

“PebbleGo has always encouraged a love of learning by tapping into students’ natural curiosity about topics that interest them, from dinosaurs to planets. With PebbleGo Create, students will discover the joy in creating something fun that shows all they’ve learned about a topic which they can easily share with their teacher or classmates. This deeper engagement with the content—doing and creating something with the ideas and facts they’ve learned—supports real classroom learning and retention in a more lasting way,” said Scott Sustacek, Capstone President.

PebbleGo Create can be added to any PebbleGo subscription, including PebbleGo Spanish and PebbleGo Next. Students simply select “Create” on any PebbleGo article to get started. Teachers can easily sync their class rosters with Microsoft 365 and Google Classroom for easy maintenance. Educators can learn more about PebbleGo Create at PebbleGo.com/PebbleGo-Create.
