Susan M. Bearden is the Chief Innovation Officer for the Consortium for School Networking and provides project management support for Google’s Rolling Study Halls. She served as a Senior Education Pioneers Fellow at the U.S. Department of Education in the Office of Educational Technology where she led the 2017 update of federal government’s K-12 school infrastructure guide, Building Technology Infrastructure for Learning. A former K12 technology director and author of “Digital Citizenship: A Community-Based Approach,” she has received numerous awards including being named one of the Center for Digital Education’s 2015 “Top 30 Technologists, Transformers and Trailblazers,” the 2015 “Making IT Happen” Award from FSTE, and the 2014 Bammy Award for School Technologist of the year.

Brian Costello the author of the highly acclaimed book The Teacher’s Journey and hosts a podcast by the same name and owner of BTC2Learn LLC, is a Google Certified Innovator & Trainer in his 11th year of teaching in Southern New Jersey. His career started as an instructional aide before going on to teach Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd Grades. He now works as a middle school Digital Innovation Specialist in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. He created The Global Audience Project helps classes find, and be, authentic audiences for projects around the world. Brian shares his love of emerging technology and professional development all over the country.
Michelle Zimmerman, PhD, has taught all grades from Pre-K through 10th with a focus on middle and high school since 2009. She has presented her research across the US and Canada since 2007, FETC, ISTE, TCEA, NCCE, CRESST, BLC, NNSTOY, The Learning Counsel, SXSWedu, New York Academy of Sciences, UCLA, NYU, and AERA among others.
The evidence of her original research and theory into practice can be seen in designing Renton Prep. She was thrilled to see the school become FETC STEM Excellence Award Finalist for 2016 as top 3 STEM Middle Schools, Microsoft Showcase School, and receiving multiple education awards. She has also authored the books The Fire Within and the Hierarchy of Needs for Innovation & Divergent Thinking. Her passion lies in reinvigorating and re-engaging teachers back into their profession, as well as what support is needed to support teachers in their pursuit of innovative and divergent thinking in their classroom. As the founder of PlayWell, LLC, Linnette advises private and public companies, schools and districts, trade organizations, lawmakers, and policy influencers. She serves as a virtual chief privacy officer and data protection officer to select clients, and speaks nationally on data privacy matters. Susan Brooks-Young has been involved in the field of instructional technology as a teacher, site administrator, and technology specialist in a county office of education. As a computer mentor, technology curriculum specialist and now professional development provider she continues to explore ways in which technology can be used to facilitate student learning. Since 1986, she has published articles and software reviews in a variety of education journals and has authored multiple books which focus on how school leaders can implement effective use of technology in a variety of learning environments.
Since establishing her own consulting firm, Susan works with educators internationally, focusing on practical technology-based strategies for personal productivity and effective technology implementation in schools.

Sylvia Martinez is the co-author of Invent to Learn: Making, Tinkering, and Engineering the Classroom helping teachers bring the exciting tools and technology of the modern world to classrooms. She advocates for student-centered project-based learning with an emphasis on STEAM for all.
Sylvia is the principal advisor to the Stanford University FabLearn Fellows, a group of global educators researching and developing hands-on, minds-on projects and curriculum. She also ran educational non-profits and headed product development for consumer software, video games, and educational games at several software publishing companies.
Martinez started her career designing high-frequency receiver systems and software for GPS navigational satellites. She holds a masters in educational technology and a bachelor’s in electrical engineering.

Andi was a classroom teacher for 16 years before pursuing her passion to change education by sharing practical ways to engage and empower this generation of learners. She is currently a Digital Innovation Specialist at ESC Region 12 in Waco, Texas. Andi is passionate about finding and sharing innovative ways to implement meaningful technology in the classroom. She was named one of the Top People in Education to Watch in 2016 by the Academy of Education Arts and Sciences. Andi wrote Genius Hour: Passion Projects that Ignite Innovation and Student Inquiry and is in the process of working on her second and third books to be published soon.

Shawn Rubin is the Chief Education Officer at the Highlander Institute in Providence, RI, managing the Institute’s blended learning and technology integration professional development programs.
