Nominations Open Today for the Heroes of the Classroom Teacher Recognition Program Presented by Kleenex®—Over $50,000 in Prizes

IRVING, Texas – May 12, 2025- Today until August 3, 2025, parents, teachers, and the school community can nominate teachers for the Kleenex® Heroes of the Classroom program. Heroes of the Classroom is a national teacher recognition program honoring K-12 teachers, administrators, and other teaching staff for their hard work, resilience, and dedication to students. Ten finalists will be selected from the nominees and those teachers will be entered into the final round where the public votes for the Grand Prize winner. Learn more about the program and nominate a teacher at HeroesoftheClassroom.com.

Last year’s Grand Prize winner was Lauren Brazel from Tinley Park High School in the suburbs of Chicago. In the 2024 program, teachers from nearly every state were nominated by fellow teachers, parents, friends, and students. Their nominations described the many worthy efforts of teachers including those who worked with struggling students, championed school community service, built school libraries and gardens, and generally displayed an outstanding commitment to education.

Nominations are open May 12 to August 3. The ten finalists are named on August 25. Then there is a public voting period from August 25 to September 8 to select the Grand Prize winner. The Grand Prize winner will be named during the week of September 24 at a special ceremony at the winner’s school. The Grand Prize winner will receive a check for $10,000 and their school will receive a $5,000 check plus a one-year supply of Kleenex Brand Tissue.

In addition to all these prizes, individuals who nominated the ten finalists will receive a $1,000 Costco Shop card.

This program is in partnership with Campus Multimedia, a school communication and marketing company that administers such programs on behalf of national brands. “Campus Multimedia looks forward to bringing back the Heroes of the Classroom program for a second year to our nation’s teachers on behalf of the iconic Kleenex brand,” said Karl Mawhinney, CEO and Chief Commercial Officer at Campus Multimedia.
