StudyCorgi aims to help talented students worldwide. The company is excited to announce its first Scholarship for Student Filmmakers, which is planned to become an annual event. Two winners will receive the prizes: a $1,000 scholarship for first place and $500 for the runner-up.

Requirements

To be eligible to participate, you must be a current high school, college, or university student. You’ll have to provide proof of your enrollment for your submission to be accepted.

Dates to Remember
  • July 1, 2024 – Submissions are collected.
  • September 1, 2024 – Submission deadline.
  • November 1, 2024 – Winners are announced.

Guidelines

First Step

Create an original video on one of the topics below:

  1. How AI can enhance online education and learning outcomes.
  2. The ethical challenges and opportunities of using ChatGPT.
  3. The personal and professional development opportunities that AI offers for career growth and lifelong learning.

The video should:

  • Be 1 to 2 minutes long.
  • Be free of copyrighted content.
  • Cover one of the above-listed topics as creatively as possible.
  • Be in English only.
  • Contain a catchy title that reflects its key idea.
  • Be delivered in *.MOV, *.MPEG4, *.MP4, or *.AVI format.

Second Step

Use Google Drive or Dropbox to upload your video. Please don’t set the file for public access before StudyCorgi starts collecting submissions.

Third Step

Write an email to scholarship@studycorgi.com with “StudyCorgi Video Scholarship Submission” as the subject. In your email, include the following information in this particular order:

  • The link to the video that you’ve uploaded (access to the file should be set to anyone who has the link).
  • A screenshot confirming your subscriptions to StudyCorgi’s YouTube channel.
  • A screenshot confirming that the Scholarship video description was shared on social media.
  • A thumbnail of your choice (this one is optional).
  • Proof that you are a current high school, college, or university student.
  • Your answer to the question: “How did you learn about the StudyCorgi Scholarship?”

We won’t accept your submission if anything from the list above is missing.

Evaluation Process

Stage 1

Our editorial team will check and evaluate every video that we receive. We apply the following criteria to all the submissions:

  • Engagement
  • Content usefulness
  • Creativity
  • Production quality

Please pay equal attention to each aspect mentioned, as they will influence the editorial team’s decision.

Stage 2

The videos that meet the criteria will be uploaded to the StudyCorgi YouTube channel. They will then be open for online voting. The audience’s likes, comments, and views will decide which videos will advance to the next stage.

Stage 3

In this stage, we’ll select five videos that collected the most likes and had the best audience engagement, based on views, comments, and social media shares.

Then, our jury of experts will pick the two winners based on the video’s creativity, production quality, and effectiveness in delivering the message.

We’ll announce the winners on this page and the StudyCorgi blog. Our support team will then contact the winners to discuss how they can receive their scholarships.
