ElizaChat Partners with the Cook Center for Human Connection to Provide AI-Powered 24/7 Mental Health Support for Students

PLEASANT GROVE, UTAHElizaChat and the Cook Center for Human Connection are partnering to provide student mental health support by using the power of conversational AI. This collaboration aims to expand access to mental health resources in schools, addressing the growing demand for effective, immediately available solutions that support student well-being.

ElizaChat is an AI-powered mental health coaching platform designed to provide 24/7 support that students can access anytime, anywhere, and on any device. Regularly reviewed by clinically trained mental health professionals, ElizaChat offers personalized guidance to help students regulate emotions, navigate daily challenges, and build resilience. The platform ensures escalation in critical situations, providing an added layer of safety for students, parents, and school administrators.

“With the increasing mental health needs of students, schools require innovative, scalable solutions to provide timely support,” said Anne Brown, CEO of the Cook Center for Human Connection. “The partnership between the Cook Center for Human Connection and ElizaChat represents a step forward in addressing the student mental health crisis, providing schools with the tools necessary to support students effectively and ensure their well-being.”

ElizaChat’s AI-driven approach allows schools to provide proactive mental health support without overburdening existing resources. Its ability to deliver personalized, multi-language support provides accessibility for all students, including those in rural or underserved communities.

ElizaChat was built on a foundation of clear guidelines for responsible and safe AI practices for students. They are:

  • Clinical supervision from human psychologists and therapists;
  • A way to learn and improve with clinical feedback;
  • The ability to escalate to humans and law enforcement as necessary;
  • Adherence to HIPAA and FERPA; and
  • Topic guardrails to avoid unfruitful or unsupportive conversations.

“We are excited to partner with the Cook Center due to our shared mission in supporting teen mental health and wellness and their excellent work in the K-12 school system,” said Dave Barney, CEO of ElizaChat. “With 75% of lifelong mental health conditions developing during adolescence, early intervention is crucial. ElizaChat provides teens with accessible, around-the-clock resources, making a meaningful impact on their well-being and the future of our society.”

The partnership will launch with a pilot program in select schools, with plans to expand nationwide, ensuring more families have access to essential mental health resources. For more information, visit CookCenter.info/ElizaChat
