iCEV and Nucleos Team Up to Make Education More Accessible in Correctional Facilities

iCEV, a trailblazer in Career & Technical Education (CTE) solutions, and Nucleos, a public benefit corporation dedicated to promoting a more just society through education and training, are partnering to deliver iCEV’s curriculum and industry certifications to incarcerated individuals in an effort to provide skills and hope for a brighter, more productive future.

“Giving incarcerated individuals more opportunities to learn, grow, and build their skills empowers them to be productive, successful individuals upon re-entry,” said Clayton Franklin, Chief Product Officer of iCEV. “This partnership with Nucleos provides correctional facilities with the tools they need to support incarcerated individuals and aligns with our goal to equip every learner with the knowledge and skills needed for successful transitions into employment.”

Nucleos offers a secure, centralized platform to manage and deliver rehabilitative programs, ensuring compliance and maximizing learner engagement. Nucleos tablets implement strict security controls for content and communication, monitor learner activity, and comply with facility regulations and maintain a safe learning environment. Through these tablets, incarcerated individuals can access a wide range of educational content and training programs, including iCEV’s curriculum and industry certification training and testing.

iCEV offers a comprehensive range of skill-building tools for correctional facilities. Topics include: trade skills, life skills, soft skills, financial literacy, mental health, career development, and agriculture. Incarcerated individuals also have access to industry certification opportunities, increasing their job marketability and supporting successful re-entry.

The Inmate Education program at Placer School for Adults in California is currently using Nucleos tablets to offer the Job Life Skills course through iCEV. This course provides learners with digital literacy, professional communications skills, general employability skills, and personal health and wellness knowledge.
