Novato, CA (November 1, 2024) – The Buck Institute for Education (dba PBLWorks), a national provider of professional development for high quality Project Based Learning (PBL), today announced its 2025 PBL World conference will take place June 23-26, 2025 at American Canyon High School, Napa Valley, California. This year’s theme is “Hope” with a tagline of “PBL: Igniting Hope, Empowering Change.” The tagline symbolizes Project Based Learning as a transformative force for positive change.
“In a time of rapid change and uncertainty, we see “hope” as a powerful theme that aligns with our vision for the future,” said PBLWorks Executive Director Bob Lenz. “Through Project Based Learning (PBL), we empower students and teachers to approach challenges with optimism, equipping them with the skills, mindset, and agency to create positive change. PBL fosters resilience, creativity, and problem-solving, giving communities a sense of control and hope as they navigate complex global issues. This theme reflects our belief in education as a transformative force for a better, more equitable future.”
PBL World is PBLWorks’ signature event of the year. The multi-day Project Based Learning conference brings together K-12 teachers, instructional coaches, and school and district leaders who want to begin and advance their Project Based Learning practice and connect with a community of their peers.
The event features PBLWorks’ signature three-day workshops on Gold Standard Project Based Learning, new curriculum workshops, engaging speakers, and networking opportunities. During the conference, PBLWorks will also announce its 2024 PBL Champions and the recipients of the 2024 John Larmer “JL” Lifelong Learning Awards.
