PBLWorks Now Accepting Participants for its 2022-23 Kentucky School Leader Network

School leaders receive Gold Standard Project Based Learning (PBL) professional development at no cost to their districts to support implementation of PBL

Novato, CA (August 18, 2022) – PBLWorks, the leading provider of professional development for Project Based Learning (PBL), is offering an exclusive opportunity for school leaders in Kentucky to receive Gold Standard PBL training at no cost to their school districts by joining the Kentucky PBL School Leader Network.

The leadership network is a year-long program offered through a partnership between PBLWorks and the Kentucky Department of Education. It is a core component of the larger, four-year “Scaling Gold Standard PBL Kentucky” initiative to increase high-quality Project Based Learning in K-12 schools throughout the state.

Participants in the Kentucky School Leader Network receive Gold Standard PBL professional development and support through face-to-face and virtual workshops as well as online group coaching, and deep collaboration via a peer network of fellow Kentucky PBL leaders. The program helps school leaders create and lead the implementation of PBL vision and culture within their schools and districts.

“Leading change can be hard, and school leaders interested in transforming teaching and learning for all students need professional development and sustained support from colleagues,” said Bob Lenz, CEO of PBLWorks. “The Kentucky PBL School Leader Network does this by connecting like-minded leaders and providing professional development that is specific to the leadership role. It provides participants with the tools they need to support a successful, school-wide implementation of high quality Project Based Learning.”

The Kentucky PBL School Leader Network is open to school leaders, instructional coaches, Deeper Learning directors, and anyone who will support PBL implementation within a school. The next cohort starts in September 2022 and runs through June 2023. Participants will attend a series of PBLWorks workshops hosted by their local Education Cooperatives focused on building a PBL culture, infrastructure, capacity building, and continuous improvement. Participants will receive support and resources from PBLWorks throughout the program.

The Kentucky School Leader Network is for KDE-associated schools only. Private schools can email partnerships@pblworks.org.
