Utah Scientific Promotes Current Regional Sales Manager Barry Singer to Vice President of Sales

35-Year Veteran in Broadcast and M&E Will Oversee Company Sales Team and Channel Partners

SALT LAKE CITY — Oct. 25, 2022 — Utah Scientific, a world leader in providing mission-critical equipment to content creators, distributors, and broadcasters, today announced that Barry Singer has been appointed as the company’s vice president of sales. Previously serving as Utah Scientific’s western regional sales manager, Singer increased year-over-year sales performance, exceeded targets, and reached beyond broadcast to include accounts focused on media and entertainment (M&E) in corporate, production, postproduction, and other areas.

“Barry embodies what we and our customers call ‘the Utah way.’ He is fiercely loyal to his team and his customers, and he does everything with integrity and commitment,” said Brett Benson, Utah Scientific president and CEO. “His extensive experience as a regional sales and channel manager for major manufacturers in the broadcast industry makes him the right person to lead Utah Scientific’s outstanding sales team. We’re excited to see the results of the new initiatives Barry will bring.”

Singer has 35-plus years of experience working with influential manufacturers in the industry, such as Ampex, Tektronix, Grass Valley, and Ross Video. His engineering roots provide a solid base for understanding many diverse technologies. Singer also owned and operated a successful dealership and systems integration company, which further provides him a well-rounded perspective of the sales channel.

“Working at Utah Scientific is perhaps the most rewarding time of my career,” said Singer. “I’m humbled and honored to lead and assist our incredible sales team, and I’m looking forward to continuing our growth while never losing sight of our customers’ requirements and circumstances. Utah Scientific is staged to continue providing rock-solid product and support while delivering on our customers next-generation goals.”

In his new role, Singer will be based in Arizona, traveling worldwide to customers, sales territories, channel partners, and the company’s headquarters in Salt Lake City as needed. He will primarily manage and work with the sales team and channel partners.
