Vector Solutions Announces 2024 CPN Seal of Prevention™ Recipients

TAMPA, FL, January 16, 2025 – Today, Vector Solutions, the leading provider of software solutions and data insights that elevate higher education institutions’ prevention and compliance strategies, announced the 2024 recipients of its Campus Prevention Network (CPN) Seal of Prevention™. This recognition honors 469 higher education institutions and organizations for their exceptional commitment to fostering a thriving campus community through comprehensive digital programs focused on student safety and well-being.

Rising student mental health challenges and campus safety concerns are top priorities in higher education, and campus leaders are increasingly investing in prevention programming to drive scalable student well-being and success outcomes. The CPN Seal of Prevention™ recognizes the dedication of select institutions leveraging technology-based programs that meet rigorous standards of best practice. Awarded annually since 2020, this accolade represents the top 12% of colleges, universities, and national organizations for their exemplary digital prevention education strategies to address issues like sexual assault, alcohol misuse, mental health, and community building.

Institutions that make an effort to prioritize wellness and safety often achieve significant benefits across the student lifecycle. And with increasing demand for a measurable return on investment in an undergraduate degree, research conducted by Vector Solutions shows that:

  • 34% of high school seniors are more likely to attend a college or university with the CPN Seal of Prevention™
  • Among current college students, 77% feel it is important that their institution has achieved the Seal
  • On average, Seal recipient institutions report a 6% higher first-year retention rate and 7% higher on-time four-year graduation rate compared to schools that did not earn the Seal

“Putting the right resources in place to prioritize student well-being makes a tangible impact on their entire college experience, both inside and outside the classroom,” said Rob Buelow, VP and General Manager of Education at Vector Solutions. “The CPN Seal of Prevention allows us to shine a spotlight on schools that are leading the way with their evidence-based prevention programs. This designation highlights the difference these efforts make in the safety and success of their learners, and their institutions.”

This year’s 2024 recipients of Vector Solutions’ CPN Seal of Prevention™ span nearly all 50 states and include a diverse range of institutions, dozens of community and technical colleges, 38 of the top 50 in the U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings, and 10 national fraternities and sororities. Each year, Vector Solutions evaluates over 2,000 institutions against evidence-based prevention principles, developed through two decades of research and practice, to identify those delivering exceptional student experiences. A full list of 2024 Seal recipients is available here.

“Students want to know that they will be safe and supported during their college experience,” said Leah Carnahan, M.Ed, Assistant Director for Campus Advocacy, Resources & Education at Texas Christian University. “The CPN Seal of Prevention demonstrates to our community that we are committed to addressing issues like mental health and belonging; values that matter to both students and their families.”

Launched in 2020, the CPN Seal of Prevention™ honors higher education institutions and organizations committed to student success through digital prevention programming. Receipt of this accolade highlights these efforts for students and parents, making the CPN Seal of Prevention™ an essential consideration in the college selection process.
