Companies Can Earn Certification Confirming Commitment To Use Dok Framework To Improve Rigor
Madison, Wis. (via PRWEB) October 01, 2015 – WebbAlign, the widely accepted and highly valued approach to evaluating alignment of standards and assessments, announces a new partnership program to help K-12 educational publishers validate the rigor of their curriculum and assessments. The WebbAlign Depth of Knowledge (DOK) Partner Program is available for publishers committed to implementing the framework through an ongoing process guided by Dr. Norman Webb and his team.
The WebbAlign DOK Partnership Program helps providers implement the DOK framework, which facilitates verifiable alignment between standards, curriculum and assessments. Companies that participate in the program receive regular hands-on professional development from Dr. Webb and his team. These seminars help ensure that the language system is being used as intended, and that the four DOK levels are understood and applied consistently within an education program.
WebbAlign will be launching the program in full at EdNET 2015 in Atlanta, Oct. 4-6, and current partners include Edgenuity, Edmentum and NWEA.
“As K-12 standards continue to evolve to meet college and career needs in a 21st global economy, it is more important than ever that the Depth of Knowledge and the level of complexity be tightly aligned across instruction and assessment programs,” Dave Adams, Chief Academic Officer for Edmentum. “By participating in the WebbAlign DOK Partner Program, we know that our offerings are providing highly aligned, rigorous instruction and assessment for students.”
Publishers interested in meeting at EdNET, the education industry’s premier networking event, to discuss the DOK Partner Program should contact Sam Adams, head of business development for WebbAlign, at sam(at)wceps(dot)org and visit https://www.webbalign.org to learn more.
