Lubbock, TX – February 6, 2025 – iCEV, a trailblazer in Career & Technical Education (CTE) solutions, is partnering with Cabarrus County Schools, located in North Carolina, for the upcoming webinar, “The Secret to CTE Success: Cabarrus County,” on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 3 p.m. ET/12 p.m. PT.
During the free webinar, Melony Ritter, CTE director of Cabarrus County Schools, and Kendra Glover, CTE coordinator of Cabarrus County Schools, will share how districts can develop successful CTE programs and discuss critical considerations and strategies. The webinar will address the following topics:
Cabarrus County Schools partners with iCEV to offer CTE curriculum and classroom activities. Offering more than 200 courses across all 16 career clusters, iCEV’s curriculum is aligned with North Carolina, national, and industry standards. Additionally, the district utilizes the iCEV Testing Platform, which hosts 19 industry certifications developed and recognized by leading organizations nationwide and test preparation materials for more than 80 other certifications. This extensive offering validates students’ essential skills and knowledge, enhances their professional credibility, empowers them to succeed and discover their vocational passions, and helps them contribute meaningfully to their communities.
“The strategy we have in our district for CTE is to have every single child be career and college ready and a major portion of that is having a credential,” said Rusty Parker, former CTE director of Cabarrus County Schools. “Industry certifications, and the need for them, are really a national need. It’s not just for our district. Over the past ten years, we’ve seen an increase in the need for credentials, specifically coming out of the school system.”
