Dancing Panda & Reflection Sciences Launch Innovative Text-Message-Based Learning Program to Boost Kids’ Executive Function Skills

Clifton, New Jersey and St. Paul, Minnesota, February 1, 2024 – In a groundbreaking partnership, Dancing Panda and Reflection Sciences are unveiling an innovative 4-week Executive Function Learning Program, designed to revolutionize how parents engage in their children’s cognitive development. This unique initiative leverages the power of text messaging to deliver a transformative learning experience, combining Dancing Panda’s unique parent and child educational engagement model with Reflection Sciences’ cutting-edge executive function (EF) tools and skill-building at-home activities.

EF skills are the brain skills involved with focus, attention, impulse control, and decision-making. Decades of scientific research have shown that EF skills predict academic, social, and career outcomes and can be improved if EF practice activities are part of early childhood. EF abilities continue to develop into early adulthood but are most easily improved before 3rd grade.

The comprehensive learning journey, intended for children ages 4 to 7, consists of 9 at-home activities with modifications for each child’s level of EF development. Each activity has been scientifically developed & tested. Activities can be completed in 5-10 minutes with no special materials, making them perfect for downtime after school or on the weekend. Two activities are delivered via text message to a parent or caregiver’s phone, each week.

Parents and caregivers will also receive informational articles on the science of early childhood brain development, and the relationship between EF skills, academic achievement, social skills, and life outcomes.

Through this partnership, Dancing Panda and Reflection Sciences aim to redefine home education, blending innovative content delivery with scientific expertise to make learning effective, enjoyable, and accessible for families everywhere. By joining forces, we are setting new standards in educational engagement, ensuring that children develop the executive functions needed to succeed in the classroom and beyond.
