Washington, DC, October 6, 2015 — The Connected Educator Month (CEM) initiative announced an exclusive global media partnership with the MindRocket Media Group, a multi-channel marketing communications company with expertise in global thought leadership and highquality content production.

In 2012, the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Educational Technology and U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan announced the initiative to create a more fully globally connected, evidence-based movement that fosters collaboration and innovation to transform professional learning and effect educational change.

Connected Educator Month is now observed in October. This year, social media channels will tag their updates and posts with #ce15. “Connected Educator Month is thrilled to have the folks at the MindRocket Media Group helping us communicate and share all the learning that will take place in October. We feel very fortunate to have such a prestigious communications group join our participating organizations to support connected learning everywhere,” said Connected Educator Month Co-Chair Sheryl Nussbaum-Beach.

It connected Educator Month networks educators and education stakeholders through connected professional learning experiences worldwide.  Its lead partners include the American Institutes for Research (AIR), Grunwald Associates, LLC, Powerful Learning Practice (PLP), and the U.S. Department of Education (USDOE).

MindRocket will profile participants and CEM theme leaders engaging in thoughtful discussions. MindRocket’s past interviews have included U.S. Department of Education Secretary Arne Duncan, American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten, global tech innovators, investors, and award-winning teachers.

Connected Educator Month activities will be cross-posted between the Connected Educator Month site and MindRocket Media Group’s global education conversation site, edcircuit.com, under Events. A list of activities for the month can be viewed on the posted schedule of events.
