BenQ InstaShow WDC30 and BenQBoard RM03 Series Interactive Displays Win Tech & Learning ISTELive22 Best of Show Awards

COSTA MESA, Calif. — July 7, 2022 — BenQ, an internationally renowned provider of visual display solutions, took home two Tech & Learning Best of Show awards at ISTELive 22, June 26-29. Chosen for excellence in terms of value, quality, ease of use, and versatility, Tech & Learning’s panel of judges bestowed the accolades on BenQ’s ultra-secure InstaShow WDC30 wireless presentation system (WPS) and BenQBoard RM03 Series interactive displays.

“There’s a lot on educators’ plates in order to reach students and help them succeed,” said Bob Wudeck, senior director of business development at BenQ America Corp. “Our goal has always been to lessen the load and make it as easy as using pen and paper when it comes to introducing new technology to the classroom. These award wins from the esteemed educator community are an honor and a great acknowledgement of the incredible collaboration and feedback from teaching and IT staff that we have utilized to create solutions that thoroughly engage students while ensuring effortless, secure, and equitable learning opportunities.”

Incredibly Intuitive Interactive Displays for Classrooms
BenQ has been developing and perfecting its BenQBoards for 10 years, leveraging its leadership in cinematic, esports, and healthcare display technology. The company’s BenQBoard RM03 Series interactive displays are a culmination of that work, delivering an easy-to-use, healthy, and feature-rich smart board designed for hybrid and remote classrooms. Like all the interactive displays in BenQ’s education portfolio, the new 4K UHD display comes with BenQ’s ClassroomCare, a standard and proprietary line of health-centric technologies that includes germ-resistant screens and pens and low-blue-light, flicker-free, and anti-glare technology to reduce eye strain and create a comfortable viewing experience. Among the key features, it has up to 40 points of simultaneous touch recognition with no lag and InstaShare to wirelessly present to the screen from anywhere. It also features instant and secure access to network files and leading cloud-based applications, BenQ’s EZ Write 6 license-free annotation and whiteboard software, front-accessible I/Os including USB-C, built-in speakers and microphones, and centralized management and signage features for technology administrators. With the BenQBoard RM03 interactive display, educators can be as efficient and effective on the displays as they are on their PC, with features such as the ability to run two applications side by side and an optional slot-in PC to expand onboard functions even further.

Tap to Teach — Securely
Joining the InstaShow WDC20E education WPS, the new ultra-secure InstaShow WDC30 allows teachers simply to tap to teach — sharing their screen to the classroom’s smart boards or projectors at the touch of a button without risking the network or needing logins, apps, or downloads. Users can connect the germ-resistant WDC30 button to their laptop and tap to present with stunning, smooth 4K@60fps video output to up to two displays and can split each screen among four devices — whether it’s a Google Chromebook, notebook, phone, tablet, microscope, or any device with an HDMI out port. Moreover, no student is left out of collaborative learning opportunities, with the ability to connect up to 64 devices or input sources at a time — the highest of any WPS. Classrooms equipped with interactive displays will benefit from the Touch Back feature, which allows users to control and annotate their presentations originating from Windows computers directly from the display. In addition, the split-screen mode can be used to control up to four laptops. Annotations made on the touch screen can also be displayed and saved on the laptop for a seamless content pipeline that students can refer to later.

The BenQ WDC30 is the most secure WPS choice for schools, setting new standards in the protection of their data and network, and helping technology and IT staff feel triple confident in their deployment. WDC30’s Wi-Fi 6 technology, WPA3™ authentication protocol, and AES 128-bit security encryption ensure that any data remains private and safe from tampering or unintended disclosure. Thoroughly tested via the Common Criteria (CC) guidelines and specifications, InstaShow WDC30 passes the Evaluation Assurance Level EAL6+ standard — the security compliance that financial services generally use in their payment systems to justify the additional costs spent when handling high-value protected assets transmitted in high-risk situations. And finally, enhanced to comply with Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS)140-3 — which is required by the U.S. government and other regulated industries (e.g., financial and healthcare) that collect, store, transfer, share, and disseminate sensitive data — WDC30’s chipset has no ability to communicate with or send data to devices or networks while still allowing teachers, students, and guests to effortlessly connect to and present with InstaShow.
