Lexia Launches New Customer Recognition Program, the Lexia Literacy Luminaries Awards

The customer award program recognizes educators’ dedication to driving successful literacy learning outcomes for students

The customer recognition award celebrates educators’ dedication to inspiring continued excellence and driving students’ literacy success.

BOSTON (April 30, 2025) Lexia, a Cambium Learning Group brand, today announced its inaugural Lexia Literacy Luminaries Award program. The customer recognition award celebrates educators’ dedication to inspiring continued excellence and driving students’ literacy success, spotlighting institutions that use Lexia’s curriculum products with the most fidelity in pursuing literacy for all. The company will announce winners for every quarter of 2025, and winners for the entire year will be announced in early 2026.

To be eligible for recognition, customers must be schools or districts that have used one of Lexia’s curriculum products – Lexia Core5 Reading, Lexia PowerUp Literacy and Lexia English Language Development – for at least six months. Lexia will select quarterly and annual winners through an internal usage dashboard designed specifically for the award program. Schools and districts will be chosen based on their product usage and student progress during the prior quarter.

For more than 40 years, Lexia has led the science of reading revolution, helping educators create real literacy change. Core5, developed for students in grades PreK–5, is proven to be over 2.5 times more effective than other elementary reading programs and positive results from using Core5 have been demonstrated in as little as eight weeks. PowerUp accelerates literacy gains for students in grades 6–12 who are at risk of not meeting College- and Career-Ready Standards. Rooted in the science of reading and proven to be up to five times as effective as the average middle school reading intervention, PowerUp enables students to make multiple years of growth in a single academic year.

Lexia English is an adaptive blended learning program that supports Emergent Bilingual students’ English language acquisition through academic conversations. Focusing on three key areas — speaking, listening, and grammar – students practice their speaking and listening skills in a safe, non-judgmental and culturally responsive environment, engaging with content in academic subjects such as math, science, social studies, and general knowledge.

“Both third-party and internal research have repeatedly shown that when educators implement our products with fidelity, students achieve impressive outcomes,” said Lexia President Nick Gaehde. “However, putting in the work needed to support students’ literacy learning in this and in other ways is not easy. More often than not, it goes unrecognized. The Lexia Literacy Luminaries Award is our way of giving educators well-deserved recognition for their efforts and encouraging them to keep up the good work.”

Following official notification of the Lexia Literacy Luminaries Awards, winners will receive a printable certificate as well as a badge that can be displayed on social media platforms and in email signatures to showcase their achievement.
