Organizational Leadership in Education Equity

In this episode, Thom Jackson and Dr. Gregory Hutchings discuss equity and philosophies on how organizations can best contextualize equity in their communities.

In this episode, Thom Jackson, President and Chief Executive Officer of EdisonLearning, talks with Dr. Gregory Hutchings, Superintendent of the Alexandria City Public Schools in Alexandria, VA. Dr. Hutchings and Thom discuss how they define equity, build institutional equity in school districts, and their perspectives and philosophies on how organizations can best contextualize equity in their communities. From the factors that form equity for all, implementing systematic alignment, and instilling cultural competency, this episode shows how school leaders are engaging with concepts of equity and actively making a change in their districts.
