The PBL Power Up – Real Talk Webinar Series begins September 26, 2024

Novato, CA (September 20, 2024) – The Buck Institute for Education (dba PBLWorks), a national provider of professional development for high quality Project Based Learning (PBL) is hosting a fall webinar series to help teachers, administrators, instructional coaches and others create the ideal, sustainable conditions for Project Based Learning in their schools.  The PBL Power Up – Real Talk Webinar Series is a three-part webinar series led by experts in Project Based Learning who have experience in schools as teachers and coaches and other roles, as well as PBLWorks’ CEO. Each session features “real talk” from the experts and is designed to equip viewers with actionable strategies and insights to help elevate their PBL practices.

About the PBL Power Up-Real Talk Webinar Series

“The PBL Classroom” series kicks off at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT, September 26, 2024.

The first webinar features PBLWorks CEO Bob Lenz and a panel of PBL experts to address the driving question “How can educators successfully implement and sustain a Project Based Learning (PBL) classroom to enhance student engagement and achievement?”

“Math & PBL” takes place 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT, October 9, 2024

This is a virtual table talk during which PBL math experts will answer the driving question “How can math teaching be enhanced through PBL?” Panelists will share their experiences in implementing math using Project Based Learning and how they created conditions to engage students in meaningful math concepts while fostering critical problem-solving skills and deep understanding of key math skills.

“Standards & PBL” takes place 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT, October 10, 2024

This session will address the driving question “How can PBL units be aligned with standards?” Panelists will highlight how districts and schools can use PBL to raise academic standards and/or meet learning outcomes. They will share practical guidance, dispel misconceptions and provide strategies for designing standards-based and student-centered PBL units, lessons and activities.

“Project Based Learning is incredibly effective in providing deeper learning for students.
