Avantis introduces the interactive “Future Forests Experience” and launches next-generation ClassVR headsets at ISTELive 25, June 29–July 2, 2025, in San Antonio

Avantis introduces the interactive “Future Forests Experience” and launches next-generation ClassVR headsets at ISTELive 25.

Chicago, (June 30, 2025) — Avantis Education, a global leader in Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR) technology for K–12 schools, will demonstrate the impact of immersive technology in education at ISTELive 25 (Booth #3119). The company will unveil the engaging Future Forests Experience and its most advanced ClassVR headsets to date – Xplorer and Xcelerate.

“At ISTELive 25, we’re giving educators the chance to explore new ways of engaging students through immersive VR,” said Gillian Rhodes, Chief Marketing Officer, Avantis Education. “Our Future Forests Experience highlights environmental responsibility through interactive storytelling, while our Xplorer and Xcelerate headsets deliver unmatched performance for classrooms looking to expand what’s possible with VR.”

An Immersive Journey Through the Rainforest

The Future Forests Experience, created in collaboration with the Rainforest Foundation and powered by the Eduverse+ content suite, takes users on an interactive VR journey through a rainforest. Along the way, conferencegoers will face choices that demonstrate the impact of human activity, highlighting the consequences of deforestation versus sustainable practices.

This experience is designed to prompt critical thinking about environmental issues and is supported by a free Future Forests Digital Toolkit, which includes lesson plans, Eduverse content, and classroom-ready resources accessible on any web enabled device.

Introducing ClassVR Xplorer and Xcelerate

Avantis will also introduce its most advanced ClassVR headsets to date:

ClassVR Xcelerate

Developed for high school and post-secondary students, Xcelerate features full spatial movement for highly interactive ‘hands-on’ VR learning. It includes an exclusive Career and Technical Education (CTE) content pack that helps students explore real-world career paths and develops key soft skills that builds student confidence and competence for the world of work.

ClassVR Xplorer

ClassVR Xplorer takes immersive education to the next level, with significant hardware advancements. Xplorer supports more sophisticated VR and AR experiences powered by Snapdragon’s XR platform, offering students richer, smoother, and more dynamic interactions as digital content continues to evolve.

The addition of a 4K Ultra-HD display, an upgraded LCD screen, and enhanced audio delivers exceptional visual clarity and immersive sound creating truly enhanced virtual environments. Designed specifically for K–12 classrooms, Xplorer includes everything schools need to seamlessly integrate VR/AR into everyday learning.

Powered by the Eduverse content engine and managed through the intuitive ClassVR portal, Xplorer gives educators access to thousands of curriculum-aligned resources. It empowers teachers to easily craft engaging, interactive lessons that transform how students learn, explore, and understand the world around them.
