Chicago, (July 14, 2025) — ClassVR from Avantis Education was named a winner in the Tech & Learning Best of Show Awards at ISTELive 25. ClassVR won in the Primary Education category, marking the fourth year in a row that Avantis has won Tech & Learning’s Best of Show award at ISTE.

Recognizing products shown at ISTELive 25, the awards program celebrates the products that are transforming education in schools around the world and that show the greatest promise for the industry. Evaluation criteria included ease of use, value, uniqueness in the market, and proof that the product helps make teachers’ lives easier and supports student achievement. The winners were announced at the ISTELive conference which took place June 29-July 2, 2025 in San Antonio, Texas.

“We are honored to receive this award for a fourth year in a row,” said Avantis Education CEO Huw Williams. “Avantis Education provides innovative, cutting-edge VR/AR technology to engage and inspire students and we are constantly working to ensure our products are meeting teachers’ needs. This win reinforces the value that our products bring to both educators and students.”

Avantis Education is a global leader in Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR) technology for K–12 schools. Used by 2 million+ students in 250,000 classrooms in 90 countries, ClassVR is an all-in-one VR/AR solution that offers educators instant access to an expansive library of curriculum-aligned content, including 3D models, 360° experiences, and interactive lessons.

At ISTELive25, Avantis showcased this content with a “Future Forests Experience” which highlighted how immersive VR can foster environmental awareness and critical thinking. Avantis also debuted its new ClassVR Xcelerate and Xplorer headsets and provided examples of how the versatility of ClassVR’s content extends across all subjects and age groups.

According to one of the judges, “ClassVR is the total package when it comes to bringing and scaling Virtual Reality use for schools to adopt this technology. ClassVR not only has made the hardware and management of that hardware easy for schools to adopt and implement, it has also created a phenomenal software platform to complement this amazing system.”

“While AI continued to dominate discussions at ISTE this year, we were truly impressed by the nominated products that bolster the core of teaching and learning while also thoughtfully integrating emerging technologies,” noted Christine Weiser, Content Director for Tech & Learning, in the awards announcement. “Our judges selected the innovative products they believe support classroom and district needs. Congratulations to all our winners!”
