Epson Wins Tech & Learning Best of Show Award at ISTELive 25

Epson’s EB-PU2116W large venue laser projector won in the Higher Education category

The Epson EB-PU2116W 16,000-lumen, large venue laser projector was named a winner in the Tech & Learning Best of Show Awards at ISTELive25.

LOS ALAMITOS, Calif. – July 29, 2025 – The Epson EB-PU2116W 16,000-lumen, large venue laser projector was named a winner in the Tech & Learning Best of Show Awards at ISTELive25. The conference took place June 29-July 2, 2025 in San Antonio, Texas.

Featuring a sleek white cabinet, the EB-PU2116W premium interchangeable lens laser projector offers next-level performance and flexibility. It produces ultra bright, 16,000-lumen1 images from a standard 120-volt power source, ideal for auditoriums, gymnasiums and performing arts centers. It was among just seven products to win in the Higher Education category.

“This recognition highlights the impact of today’s advanced laser projection technology to create displays that engage and inspire both students and audiences,” said Ramzi Shakra, Senior Product Manager of Large Venue Projectors for Epson America. “The EB-PU2116W compact cabinet, high brightness and wide choice of lenses makes it a great choice for auditoriums, gymnasiums and performing arts centers and we are honored to have it recognized at ISTELive 25.”

The Tech & Learning Best of Show awards program evaluates the products exhibited at the ISTE conference and recognizes those that are transforming education and that show the greatest promise to the industry. Evaluation criteria included ease of use, value, uniqueness in the market, and proof that the product helps make teachers’ lives easier and supports student achievement.

“The Epson EB-PU2116W is a powerful solution for educational institutions seeking to create immersive, large-scale visual experiences,” stated the awards judge. “Its compatibility with various lenses and advanced setup tools makes it highly adaptable and effective for dynamic instructional and artistic applications.”

“While AI continued to dominate discussions at ISTE this year, we were truly impressed by the nominated products that bolster the core of teaching and learning while also thoughtfully integrating emerging technologies,” noted Christine Weiser, Content Director for Tech & Learning, in the awards announcement. “Our judges selected the innovative products they believe support classroom and district needs. Congratulations to all our winners!”

The ISTE Best of Show Award is the latest of several prominent award wins for Epson. It also recently earned several AV industry awards at InfoComm, including ProjectorCentral Best of InfoComm Awards, Commercial Integrator BEST Awards, SCN Installation Awards, AV Technology Best of Show Awards, and also received other industry accolades including the SCN Stellar Service Awards and Higher Ed AV Awards.
