Rick Kershner spent ten years with Splendora ISD in Texas, as high school principal and then as Assistant Superintendent of Leadership and Culture, the role he held when interviewed by edCircuit in 2017. He has also worked as a teacher, coach, assistant principal and assistant superintendent in Katy and Royal ISDs, and in 2020 became superintendent of Royal ISD.
