Lexia’s ‘All For Literacy’ Podcast Tackles Educators’ Biggest Challenges in 2025

BOSTON (Jan. 29, 2024) –  The fourth season of the highly regarded “All For Literacy” monthly podcast series from Lexia, a Cambium Learning Group brand, launched January 7. Hosted by Lexia’s Chief Learning Officer, Dr. Liz Brooke, the popular podcast examines the nexus of literacy, research, and the practical application of that science with leading experts in the field. Listeners can tune into new episodes, as well as the first three seasons of the series, via Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Audible, Podchaser, and Youtube.

In 2025, more than 60% of U.S. students read below grade level, with literacy disparities disproportionately affecting underserved communities. Educators also face increased pressure to implement evidence-based practices, yet many report gaps in training and tools to do so effectively.

As in previous seasons, Brooke will host conversations with expert guests in the field of literacy and the science of reading. “This season, we’ll focus on exploring next steps in the sustainable implementation of the science of reading,” said Brooke. “The goal of these in-depth conversations is to share actionable strategies and insights for empowering both educators and learners, ensuring every student has the tools to succeed in their literacy journey.”

The roster of educators, researchers, and literacy experts includes:

  • Casey Sullivan Taylor, policy director for early literacy at the nonprofit ExcelinEd, explains how leaders in states like Mississippi and North Carolina have used policy and implementation to turn around literacy rates.
  • Adrea Truckenmiller, a noted researcher and the co-developer of the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) MA degree program at Michigan State University, will discuss implementing evidence-based practices in schools and the importance of leadership and system-wide support for both students and educators.
  • Margaret Goldberg, co-founder of The Right To Read Project, will explore pursuing equity through literacy.

Starting this season, “All For Literacy” episodes will include professional learning discussion guides for educators wanting to take a deeper dive into the topics explored in each episode. Lexia will debut the guides in their booth (booth #13) at the 2025 Plain Talk About Literacy and Learning® Institute, taking place February 12-14 in New Orleans. After the institute, links to the guides will be included in the podcast’s show notes.

With literacy rates remaining a pressing national issue, “All For Literacy” is a trusted resource for educators seeking actionable strategies to drive progress. Since its debut in 2023, the podcast has earned a 4.9 rating on Apple Podcasts and a 4.7 rating on Spotify, becoming a cornerstone for advancing literacy education.
