SANTA BARBARA, CA — February 11, 2025 — ParentSquare, the leading provider of family and community engagement solutions, today announced the launch of ParentSquare Pay, a school payments solution seamlessly built into its award-winning communication platform. With a simple, intuitive experience, families can make payments for activities, dues, and fees with just a few clicks—right in the same place they get school notifications and other pertinent information related to their child’s school experience.

“Like school communications, school payments are often fragmented, frustrating, and ineffective—resulting in uncollected funds, especially across individual departments,” said ParentSquare Founder and President Anupama Vaid. “Our goal with ParentSquare Pay is to remove the friction from payments to make collecting money as simple and convenient as possible for everyone involved.”

ParentSquare Pay streamlines school payments from start to finish with a solution that combines notifications, forms, and payments in an easy-to-use interface for all stakeholders. Districts, teachers, and staff can send home payment requests and invoices in the same way they share regular school communications, including via email, SMS, and app notifications, while families can complete payments right from the ParentSquare app or site without having to log into a separate system.

To eliminate the need to track down payments and manually send reminders, ParentSquare Pay also includes the ability to see who’s already paid, automatically send reminders to those who haven’t, and generates reports that integrate with external accounting systems. All transactions are processed with Stripe, an industry-leading payment platform that ensures a secure and Payment Card Industry-compliant environment.

“We’ve consistently heard from customers about the challenges of managing school payments, including manual processes, disconnected systems, and limited transparency,” said Vaid. “While many districts have successfully used our basic payments feature for several years, we saw an opportunity to deliver even more value. ParentSquare Pay brings payments and school-home communication together in one unified solution, simplifying the process for districts, schools, and the families they serve.”
