Ridgeland, Mississippi—May 9, 2024SchoolStatus, a leader in K-12 data-driven solutions that empower student success, applauds its SchoolStatus Attend District Partners who were recently recognized for reducing chronic absenteeism rates and improving student attendance. Among the districts selected for 2024 Model SARB Recognition were 10 districts using SchoolStatus Attend, a leading attendance solution offered by SchoolStatus.

The prestigious Model School Attendance Review Board (SARB) honor is awarded by the California Department of Education to school systems that demonstrate innovative and effective practices to reduce absenteeism. The Program identifies outstanding results-based school attendance improvement programs that provide comprehensive services to high-risk youth with school attendance or school behavior problems.

“Student success is at the heart of what we do at SchoolStatus and improving attendance is a vital part of student success,” said Russ Davis, Founder and CEO of SchoolStatus. “I applaud these districts for proactively involving families and communities in getting students back in the classroom. Their results speak for themselves, and they can serve as a model for what other districts who take this approach can achieve.”

The SARBs were recognized for successful multi-tiered attendance strategies used during the 2023-24 school year. The award recognizes excellence in specific content areas, including early intervention, professional development, family engagement, and school connectedness.
