Ilya Soloviev was a student of Applied Mathematics and Information Science at the Faculty of Computer Science of the Higher School of Economics (HSE) in Moscow. With teammates Daria Valter and Artem Shafarostov he built Boremeter, an app that uses neural networks and computer vision to measure audience engagement at lectures and presentations. The project reached the world finals of Microsoft's 2017 Imagine Cup.
