Naperville, IL – KiwiWrite Software, LLC received a top award in the global Tool Competition as one of 50 winning teams building or expanding learning tools to address pressing issues in education.
KiwiWrite Software, LLC, creator of the innovative online math platform KiwiWrite Math, has been awarded a $50,000 grant to accelerate the development of new features designed to make math education more inclusive for all learners.
KiwiWrite Math was selected from more than 1,900 submissions, with winners hailing from institutions and organizations across 18 countries and all continents.
KiwiWrite Math addresses a critical need for students with disabilities such as dysgraphia or motor challenges who often struggle with the handwriting aspect of math assignments. The platform’s intuitive interface allows students to easily input and edit math problems – from basic arithmetic to advanced calculus – directly onto a blank canvas or a classroom PDF or image file. By eliminating the barriers posed by handwriting, KiwiWrite Math empowers students to focus on problem-solving, critical thinking, and mastering mathematical concepts.
“Receiving this grant is a tremendous validation of our mission to make math education truly inclusive. As a parent entrepreneur, I am deeply committed to creating tools that empower students with disabilities to reach their full potential in math. This funding will allow us to accelerate our efforts as we increase accessibility and support a broader range of students, enhance file sharing and collaboration options, and provide valuable support to researchers. We are excited about the opportunities this grant opens up for us to further our mission of making math education more inclusive and effective for all students”, said Marcia Edel, founder of KiwiWrite Math.
Awards were given in six tracks, targeting core opportunity areas for innovation. KiwiWrite Math received an award in the Accelerating & Assessing Learning track.
