At the time of this 2016 interview, Bill Swick chaired the music department at the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts and was guitar task force chair for the Clark County School District. Swick developed a guitar curriculum of more than 20 volumes and the Swickster fingerboard teaching system, and also chairs the NAfME Council for Guitar Education. Swick was named a Top Ten GRAMMY Educator in 2016.
