Morty Ballen is Senior Vice President, Global Academics at Christel House International, a nonprofit that works to break the cycle of poverty for children through schools. Ballen founded Explore Schools in Brooklyn, growing it from one school to a network serving about 2,000 students, and previously directed programs at Global Schools Forum. A former teacher in Louisiana, South Africa and New York City, Ballen spoke with edCircuit in 2022.
