EdTech

Technology now runs through almost every part of school, from the devices students carry and the boards at the front of the room to the platforms that hold assignments, grades and attendance. Choosing it well is one of the most expensive and lasting decisions a district makes.

This section gathers edCircuit's edtech news and analysis for the technology directors, teachers and school leaders making those choices. It traces how classroom technology has changed over the last twenty years, follows the edtech trends shaping K-12 and higher education, and looks at the challenges districts meet when they adopt new tools: cost, training, support, and the gap between well-funded and rural schools.
