POWERUP Adds a Robust Cloud Database to the POWERUP 4.0 App Allowing Users to Track Flight Data

An update to the smartphone-controlled paper airplane app lets students save and track their flight data in the cloud.

This update introduces a robust cloud database that stores all flight parameters, allowing users to save and track their flight data seamlessly.

Lyndhurst, Ohio, October 22, 2024 – POWERUP, the creator of the first smartphone-controlled paper airplane motor kit, added innovative and collaborative features to its POWERUP 4.0 App. This update introduces a robust cloud database that stores all flight parameters, allowing users to save and track their flight data seamlessly.

The POWERUP 4.0 App is used with the POWERUP 4.0, the next-generation smartphone RC controlled paper airplane kit, where users connect their motorized paper airplanes to their phones. Key new features in the app include:

  • Cloud Database Integration: Every flight is now stored with comprehensive flight parameters, providing users a detailed history of their flying activities.
  • Multi-Device Accessibility: Users can now access their accounts on various phones, making it easier to fly with any device without losing their data and to track their flight progress.
  • Leaderboards: The app features daily, weekly, and all-time leaderboards, fostering a competitive and engaging environment for users to see how they stack up against each other.

These new features are designed to enhance the functionality of the POWERUP App, as well as to create a more interactive and communal experience. This includes providing educators access to flight performance data for classroom analysis. Additional functionalities will also be available to users soon, including:

  • Custom Airplanes: Users will soon be able to create and add their own airplane designs to the app and share these innovations with the community.
  • Airplane Ratings and Reviews: An upcoming feature where users can rate and review different airplane designs, enhancing community interaction and feedback.
  • Flight Challenges and Contests: POWERUP is planning to introduce various challenges and contests that will encourage users to fly more and showcase their creativity.
